A few days ago, Olin Kreutz was not re-signed by the Bears. He was a veteran presence on the offensive line. He will be missed.
Supposedly this whole not signing him was over a measly 500K. I'm sure the Bears could have squeezed space for that salary if they really wanted Kreutz. That is why I think they wanted him to leave anyway.
I don't understand why the Bears would want to let him leave, but Jerry Angelo has a plan and I still trust him. The season hasn't started. No games have been played yet and until that happens, I won't try to make a huge deal out of the moves that are being made. The Bears did sign another center that is just as good if not better. He is younger and maybe this was all part of their plan.
If the Bears lose their first 5 games of the regular season, then I will judge these moves that were made. Right now, I have no idea what the plan is and I'm going to watch it all unfold before I freak out about every little thing.
